When We First Met

Alexa and Clay met at the annual Tamale festival held in old town Placentia, December 2018. After volunteering at the local Rotary beer booth and quenching the crowds thirst (and their own) Clay invited to Alexa out for a beer to BIGs to get to know her more.

Our First Date

Soon after meeting, Alexa invited Clay to see her favorite team, the Anaheim Ducks. Although neither can remeber who won, the thing that was most remembered was the company and the laughs they shared that evening.

Our First Trip Together

Alexa was in the midst of visiting all 50 states before she turned 30 when they started dating. Their first trip together was to the south with states including: Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia.

Camping out a Pandemic

COVID brought with it a lot of challenges. For Alexa and Clay, it was finding different and safe ways to travel and explore.

So they packed up the truck and headed for Big Bear, where they camped and enjoyed a peaceful and quiet 4th of July with Quinn.

December 2021
Move-in Together

After dating for sometime, Clay and Alexa decided to take a big step in their relationship by moving-in.

Since moving-in and after many incidents including the "accent colored office chair" and their favorite game "Cucumber or Zucchini", they've come to love Santa Ana and their weekly weekend walks together with their dog Quinn.

Our First International Trip

In celebration of their good friend Tanya's 30th birthday, they were invited to go to Cancun.

Many laughs, memories, and tequila sodas were shared by all this trip. This was also Clay's first, but not last, trip exploring the world with Alexa.

Feburary 2023
Crossing off State Number 50

Alexa capped off visiting all 50 states by traveling Hawaii for her 30th birthday. Clay and Alexa were accompanied by their great friends, now bridal party, on this trip. They stayed in Old Lahaina, Maui. Doing a guided tour of the Road to Hana, taking in the island of Maui's natural beauty and enjoing a traditional Lūʻau.

He Proposed!

After receiving Roy and Holly's blessing for their daughters hand in marriage, Clay proposed to Alexa in Old Town Tustin. They later met with their parents and close friends to celebrate their engagement.
